So he wanted to save his wife from all dangers and difficulties of the cruel society where a woman has to struggle to survive every moment. Besides saving her from sorrows of the pathetic life, the man with the scar had a desire of staying with his wife after his death. He had an intense love for his wife ,and a strong conviction that he would have stayed with his wife in the realm of heaven after their death. It happened so fast that made people unable to realize what had occurred.

So, before his death, he killed his wife so that he could live with her in the realm of heaven , but he got relief from his punishment by the general after his wife’s death ,and he had to live his life without his wife whom he loved extremely.

So, the scar reveals the truth that the man led a pathetic life in his past and his fortune did not favour him.
